Cancellation Policy

We understand that plans change. Here's how our cancellation policy works:

  • 24+ hours notice: Cancel free with no charge
  • Less than 24 hours: Cancellation fee up to 50% of the service cost may apply
  • No-show: Full service cost charged

We charge these fees only because we hold time on our schedule and pay our cleaners. We'd much rather work with you, but these fees protect our team's livelihood.

Rescheduling

Need to move your cleaning to a different day? Rescheduling is easy and free.

  • With 24 hours notice: Reschedule anytime at no charge through your account portal or by contacting us
  • Less than 24 hours: Contact us directly. We'll do our best to find you another available slot

Subject to availability. If we can't reschedule within your timeframe, we can discuss other options.

Satisfaction Guarantee

We stand behind our work. If you're not satisfied with your cleaning for any reason:

Tell us within 24 hours and we'll make it right. We'll either re-clean the areas you're concerned about at no charge, or provide a full credit. No questions asked.

Your satisfaction is our job. If something didn't meet your expectations, we want to fix it immediately.

Insurance & Liability

Golden Gate Cleaners is fully licensed and insured to operate in San Francisco. Your home and belongings are protected.

  • All team members pass comprehensive background checks
  • We carry full liability insurance covering any accidental damage
  • In the rare event of damage, report it within 24 hours and we handle the claim immediately

You're protected. Even in unlikely scenarios, our insurance covers accidental damage. You won't be liable.

Tipping

Tipping is never required. We pay our cleaners fair wages, and you're not obligated to tip.

That said, if you're happy with your cleaning, tips are always appreciated. A typical tip is 15–20% of the service cost.

How to tip: You can tip through your account portal after each cleaning, or leave cash for your cleaner. 100% of tips go directly to your cleaner.

Privacy & Data

Your privacy matters. We collect only the information needed to schedule and deliver your cleaning service.

  • Your address, contact info, and payment details are kept secure
  • We never share your information with third parties without your consent
  • Your account data is encrypted and stored securely

We clean homes in all San Francisco neighborhoods. If your address is within SF city limits, we can help. Schedule a cleaning and we'll confirm service availability during booking.
